Health Commitment Statement 2026

Founder/Operator of Kate's Pet Care Services

Since 2020 and continuing into present day 2026, Kate's Pet Care Services stays committed to health and wellness in the workplace. All employees wear well-fitted KN95's or better when meeting with clients indoors in their homes. This includes initial meet and greets and any follow up meetings where there could be airborne transmission of illnesses of any kind.

We decided to stay masked in the workplace as we noticed that it significantly cut down on sick days (none due to viruses since 2019!) which means we can be more available and reliable to our clients. If we're out sick, that means that all services could be cancelled for up to two weeks depending on illness type! We wanted to avoid this gap in services as much as we could.

We openly dedicate ourselves to providing a safe environment to our dog clients, but our people clients are just as valued - and entering into their homes and possibly bringing illness along with us became a big moral dilemma when we learned that illness could be transmitted asymptomatically. We thankfully could solve this problem by wearing well fitted and clean PPE at each in person visit making us a safe provider for everyone using our services.

To date, we have not had any issues with our protocols and even dogs who have never experienced masks before do not blink twice when we enter their home, but we can also arrange to meet outdoors for our first meeting if needed!

Thank you for reading this message and we'll see you in all our healthy glory at your meet and greet soon!
